Stuff A Stocking
Across Russia millions of children are in crisis, lack hope and have never heard of the Lord Jesus Christ. What joy it will be this Christmas to give gifts to these needy children, and also share the hope of the Gospel. To accomplish this, SOAR International Ministries in partnership with Russia Inland Mission created the "Stuff a Stocking" project, reaching out to one child at a time.
The "Stuff a Stocking" project is the result of prayer and research into ways of overcoming the increasing expense and nearly impossible red tape involved in importing gifts and aid into Russia. This exciting project has not only thrilled Russian believers but has also received the praise of many Russian government officials.
The "Stuff a Stocking" project is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child in Russia. Your stocking will bring joy to those who have no hope, plant seeds of faith and show them God's love in a tangible way. SPONSOR a stocking for a needy Russian child by donating securely ONLINE!
Click here to sponsor a Stocking and submit your letter online! Each Stocking costs $35.00 (USD) and each Bible costs $5.00 (USD). Click the "sponsor a stocking" link above and follow the steps to write your letter, upload a picture of yourself and submit your donation! Click here if you simply want to donate towards the overall project. We accept donations towards our Stuff A Stocking project all year long!
Your stocking will be filled with items purchased in Russia. Your $35.00 (USD)will fill and deliver a stocking, and $5.00(USD) a Russian children's Bible. You can also add a personal touch by writing a letter to an orphan including your name, address and a picture. Your letter will be placed in the front pocket of your stocking along with a clear explanation in Russian of the Gospel message. You will receive a picture of a child who received a stocking along with a personal thank you.

Cost of January, 2012 trip: $3500 (includes the flight from the US to Moscow, Russia and in-country expenses; does not include personal souvenirs, etc.)
SOAR Stuff a Stocking Application Checklist
By October 1, 2011
Complete the following paperwork and mail to SOAR
1. SOAR Application and additional application documents found under FORMS on this web site and your initial deposit of $250.00.
2. Passport
(If you do not yet have a passport, apply for one immediately and send it to SOAR when you receive it. If it is close to our deadline dates, please call SOAR for methods to expedite this process.)
3. Visa Invitation request and Visa Application forms.
By October 31, 2011
By this date, 50% of your trip cost is due to SOAR. (Total due $1750; this includes $250 deposit)
By November 30, 2011
By this date, full payment of your trip is due to SOAR. If others are helping you fund this trip, be sure to give them these funding cut off dates. In order to go on the trip your money must be received at SOAR according to this schedule.
If paperwork is not received by October 31st, an additional $200 fee will be needed for late processing. This will help cover the cost of express postage, added processing fees and special handling to expedite the paperwork.
