They have returned!
Last month we shared our joy about the ripe harvest that awaited us in Provideniya. With lives being changed for His glory the enemy was not going to let the ministry proceed without a fight. Vicka Mangione’s outreach with the girls from the technical school grew. One of the girls, Tanya, had tears in her eyes as she listened to Vicka share the Gospel woven into Psalm 139. After the meeting Tanya asked for a Bible and to know more about God. Again we stand in awe as we see God’s hand in Tanya’s life. She is from the village Neshkan and had been delayed in Provideniya for five weeks as she waited for the weather to improve so she could return by helicopter to her village. It was God’s perfect timing for all of these girls to hear His word and the Gospel as they are all from different villages and are returning home soon.
Vicka and Vladimir Trianichev also held a 5-day Bible club where 11 of the children called Jesus “their friend” by the end of the week. It was during this week that the Mangione’s knew that they had entered the enemies territory. With family illness striking them all and GJ being taken to the Border Guards daily for 2-3 hours of questions the pressure was great at home. But again God was sovereign in all things and all GJ could be “accused” of was “doing religious work”. During this stressful time God’s Word was still proclaimed and lives were changed for His glory.
Thank you so much for your prayers for this part of the world! To God be the glory!!!
