SOAR's Bible camps in Russia are a place where the truth of God's Word is taught and demonstrated through Bible lessons, drama, devotions, music, counseling and the life witness of our SOAR ministry team members. Soar holds a summer and winter camp for at risk children in the Moscow area. Day camps are also held in the villages of Chutkotka in the summer. It is exciting to see life changing decisions made as the children hear and absorb the truths of God's Word. Each child receives a Bible and our SOAR counselors encourage them to continue reading the Word of God daily after leaving camp. Go – share Christ’s love
Want to make a difference in the lives of orphans or other needy Russian children? SOAR invites you to travel with us to Russia to minister at our Moscow Bible camp this summer. You can bring hope, show God’s love, guide with biblical answers and help with crafts or sports.
After traveling to Russia and arriving at SOAR’s camp, you and a Russian Christian, will be co-counselors for five to eight Russian children. You may be asked to prepare a short devotional for your campers each night, which would be translated by your co-counselor. You would also be involved in either craft or sport time.
The cost of the camp for you would be approximately $3500.00(USD), which includes: round trip airfare, standard visa and letter of invitation fees, all in-country travel, dorm room and/or hotel accommodations, international trip insurance, scheduled meals, and camp expenses for several kids. The following is a checklist of things you need to do in order to go.
The Summer 2012 trip date are APPROXIMATELY July 28th - Aug 5th
SOAR 2012 Summer Camp Application Checklist
Passport – You will need a current passport. (If you do not yet have a passport, apply for one immediately and send it to SOAR when you receive it. If it is close to our deadline dates, please call SOAR for methods to expedite this process.)
By May 15th, 2012
Complete the following forms (found under forms on this web site) and mail to SOAR by May 1st, 2012, along with your initial deposit of $250.00: SOAR Short-term Application, Doctrinal Statement, Personal Covenant, Visa Invitation and Visa Application.
By June 18th, 2012
50% of your trip cost is due to SOAR. (Total due $1750; this includes the initial $250 deposit) 
By July 9th, 2012
Full payment of your trip is due to SOAR. If others are helping you fund this trip, be sure to give them these funding deadline dates.
In order to go on the trip your money must be received at SOAR according to this schedule.
If paperwork is not received by June 18th, an additional $200 fee will be needed for late processing. This will help cover the cost of express postage, added processing fees and special handling to expedite the paperwork.

Prepare - kits for kids
- Assemble camp craft packs for one day or more.
- Put together hygiene kits for the kids.
- Do this with small group, family, or friends!

For the 2012 Summer camp, we will need about 60 Hygiene kits made! Hygiene kits usually contain soap, shampoo, washcloth, small comb, toothbrush and toothpaste. Smaller size is best and they need to be packed in ziploc bags.
